Austin internet company uShip has always prided itself in being a dog-friendly workplace.
Every workday, some 15 to 20 canines accompany their owners to work at uShip’s headquarters on East Riverside Drive.
So when International Take Your Dog to Work Day rolled around recently, the company, which runs an online shipping marketplace, took note.
Content manager Amanda Laviana sat down with some of uShip’s top dogs to get their take on how to be a good employee.
First, Laviana talked with one of uShip’s human employees, Bud Holfort, who heads up the company’s People Operations team. Holfort told her that even though an office full of dogs can create challenges, it’s worth it.
“Dog-friendly culture means we understand and accept the positive impact that well-behaved dogs can have on our day-to-day attitudes.”
