Good morning, Austin. Welcome to Tech Crawl, where we take you for a spin through the tech topics that are making news and generating headlines each morning.
Apple Inc.’s latest product launch event is scheduled for today. And that means the tech giant -- with a big pile of pageantry, pomp and circumstance – will display its latest new toys for its adoring fans.
Early word is that Apple will unveil its biggest and most expensive iPhones yet. Those are expected to include a phone/tablet that's supposed to have a 6.5-inch screen, along with the iPhone Xs (5.8-inch screen) and iPhoneXr (6.1-inch LCD screen).
Other new products, according to industry reports, could include the Watch Series 4, third-generation iPad Pro, a less-expensive MacBook version, and maybe even updated AirPods with a charging mat.
The event gets going at noon Central time, and you can watch the livestream from Apple's website if you’re so inclined. You'll need an iPhone, iPod, or iPod Touch with Safari on iOS 10 or later. To watch on your desktop, make sure you're using a Mac with Safari on macOS Sierra 10.12 or later, or a PC with Windows 10 and Microsoft Edge.
