For new hires and younger workers it's an especially sought-after benefit because you don't have to wait for a certain number of vacation hours to accrue before taking time off.
But it's not a universally popular policy, with some companies canceling this policy after complaints from workers who worried that without having dedicated vacation hours it would be challenging to take time off.
