South by Southwest, you beautiful carnival of inanity, you. Thank you for bringing Westeros to the White House, thank you for the creepy dystopian maidens wandering around downtown Austin and thank you for putting us into close proximity to sneakers than order pizza.
American-Statesman photographer Daulton Venglar snapped this picture of a man wearing Pizza Hut’s fabled “Pizza Top” sneakers while out and about at SXSW. Lest you think these kicks are just snazzy without the sauce to back it up, apparently they’re legit. From Hypebeast earlier this month:
Grant Hill’s FILA days are over as he has teamed up with Pizza Hut to present its new ‘Pie Tops’ sneakers. Donning a white base with red accents, the kicks are Bluetooth enabled and let you order a pie, in Hill’s case a large two-topping pie for $7.99 USD, from the pizza purveyor by pressing a button with the Hut’s logo on the tongue.
OK. OK, we’ll bite. But can we share this technology with Via313?
