New video games out this week:
“PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Game Preview Edition.” The incredibly popular PC game, a “Hunger Games”-like battle royal that has sold 20 million copies, finally arrives on a game console. The game contains graphical enhancements for the new Xbox One X and has the unusual distinction of being one of the few major console releases to be labeled “Unfinished” and “a work in progress.” Rated M for Mature. $30 for Xbox One.
“Fallout 4 VR.” The trend of taking huge hits from the past couple of years and re-releasing them as virtual-reality games continues with Bethesda’s return to Vault 111. Rated M for Mature. $60 for HTC Vive on PC.
