Amid the bad news at Twitter and Apple, Facebook is doing just fine
Facebook did better in its first-quarter earnings than Wall Street analysts expected, and now has 1.65 billion monthly users. This morning its stock was up nearly 10 percent as a result. Also people are spending an average of 50 minutes per day on either Facebook or one of its other apps, such as Instagram.
The House of Representatives endorses Email Privacy Act
In order for law enforcement to examine your emails, they would first have to get a warrant, under a bill approved by the U.S. House of Representatives on Wednesday. The bill now goes to the Senate for final approval.
Police are called to Apple headquarters because of a dead body in a conference room
They aren't releasing a lot of details yet on how he died. Police were called to the building at 8:35 a.m. Pacific Time on Wednesday. TMZ is reporting that a caller said he was bleeding from the head and possibly armed.
