Could Amazon create its own checking account?
The e-commerce giant is working on it. Amazon is in talks with several banks that include JPMorgan Chase to create its own type of checking account for its customers.
Amazon is reportedly only in the exploration stage of the potential project. But the company is trying to target younger customers or those without bank accounts. Facebook is expanding its breaking news test
Near the beginning of the year, Facebook began testing breaking news labels with a few publishers on its platform. Today, the tech giant said it is expanding this test to more than 50 other publishers in North and South America, Europe and Australia.
Facebook said it is conducting the test because “people tell us they want to see informative news about what is happening around them, when it happens, on Facebook.”
The company said if the expansion goes well, it could expand the test again to additional publishers.
