Ride-hailing service Lyft says it has suspended service in several cities as a result of unprecedented flooding caused by Hurricane Harvey.
In Texas, Lyft is offline until further notice in Beaumont, Corpus Christi, Houston and Victoria. Lake Charles, La., is also temporarily off limits.
Lyft says it has donated $100,000 to Hurricane Harvey relief efforts and riders in cities where Lyft is still operating can help boost that amount by choosing to round up their fares.
A supply drive for evacuees is being held, as well. Drop items off at EastSide Tavern, 1510 E. Cesar Chavez St., this Thursday starting at 5 p.m.
