Following the success of Fitbits and other gadgets that track how much activity -- or inactivity -- us humans engage in on any given day, some tech-savvy folks are doing something similar for pets.
Gadgets such as Actijoy and The Wagz are hitting the market, The Associated Press reports, and they're already becoming popular with pet owners anxious to keep their critters happy and healthy.
In addition to monitoring activity, many of the devices have GPS trackers in case pets get lost, among other features. Starting price is around $300, The AP says.
