Tesla unveils truck and also a surprise new Roadster
And if that wasn’t enough, the company surprised everyone with the announcement of a new version of its original Roadster vehicle. Musk says it’ll get 600 miles to a charge, hit a top speed of 250 miles (because you need that) and cost a whopping $200,000. It’ll be out in 2020, he said.
Mashable being sold to Ziff Davis
The digital media company Mashable has been sold to Ziff Davis in what is being described as a fire-sale price of $50 million, far short of its $250 million valuation just two years ago. This is according to the Wall Street Journal, which cites anonymous sources. The move is seen as possible bad news for the digital publishing industry and a sign of more bad news suggests Fast Company.
Apple diversity chief is leaving, being replaced.
Apple’s vice president of diversity and inclusion is leaving the position she’s only occupied since May, reports TechCrunch. Denise Young Smith, who previously worked as Apple’s head of human resources, will be an executive-in-resident at Cornell Tech. She’l be replaced at Apple by Christie Smith, a former principal at Deloitte.
