Austin-based Vuevent Inc., which provides a smartphone app platform used by organizations to market and operate events, has been sold to San Jose, Calif.-based software firm TrellisSoft Inc., the companies said Thursday.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
TrellisSoft CEO Severo D'Souza said the acquisition would help his company work better with customers throughout the world. Founded in 2016, TrellisSoft makes products such as wireless hard drives but also assists companies with sales, marketing and funding efforts.
"The Vuevent team has designed and developed incredible and intuitive mobile applications and a CMS platform that enables users to build, manage and deploy event applications with ease,” D'Souza said in a written statement.
Vuevent was founded in 2014 and raised $1.4 million in 2016. CEO Brent Shafer said the company’s operations will remain in Austin.
“We are excited to join TrellisSoft to simplify and solve complex business challenges through innovative technology solutions across a range of key verticals,” Shafer said in a written statement. “ In addition, we will continue to build on the Vuevent marketing intelligence platform and CMS to deliver quality and affordable event applications to stakeholders.”
