Asure Software is continuing its buying spree with another acquisition.
The Austin-based company said it has purchased Birmingham, Ala.-based Associated Data Services, a regional human resources and payroll services bureau in the Southeastern U.S. and a reseller of Asure products.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Asure, whose products are used to help companies manage mobile workforces spread around the world, has grown in recent years by buying smaller companies.
In the first quarter, Asure announced it had acquired iSystems Holdings LLC and iSystems Intermedia Holdco Inc. for $55 million in cash, a promissory note and stock; and Compass HRM Inc. for $6 million in cash and a promissory note.
Asure’s products include tools for tracking work hours as well as managing hoteling, which involves providing office space for mobile workers on an as-needed basis rather than a traditional reserved desk. The company has more than 80,000 clients worldwide.
In May, CEO Pat Goepel said the company’s strategy of acquiring service bureaus that are already using its software is paying off and will continue.
Associated Data Services, founded more than 40 years ago fits that description.
“Because ADS is a longstanding reseller of our Evolution HCM solution, this acquisition provides natural customer and technology synergies between our organizations,” Goepel said in a written statement. “ADS also allows us to extend our footprint in the Southeast market.”
Asure has about 240 employees. In an SEC filing in May, the company said it will be expanding its direct sales team.
Shares of Asure were up about 1.8 percent in early afternoon trading Monday at $12.65.
