Consulting company Accenture has acquired Austin-based digital optimization firm Clearhead, the companies said Wednesday.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
By adding Clearhead, which helps brands personalize and improve digital products through data, Accenture said it is aiming to help clients boost customer experience.
“Experience is the new battleground in the digital world and brands need to continuously optimize it across the entire customer journey,” Glen Hartman, North America’s head of Accenture Interactive, the branch of Accenture that the merger will affect, said in a written statement. “We’re excited about Clearhead boosting our personalization business with their experimentation and personalization capabilities.”
Clearhead’s staff of more than 70 is expected to remain at its headquarters in Austin, as well as its other locations in Cincinnati, Ohio and London, according to Matty Wishnow, CEO of Clearhead, who launched the company in 2012.
Clearhead has worked with more than two dozen retailers and brands, including Adidas, World Market, CVS Pharmacy and Keurig.
Dublin-based Accenture has acquired 13 other digital and communication companies since 2013. It acquired Austin-based app developer Chaotic Moon in 2015.
The acquisition of Clearhead is expected to help Accenture Interactive expand its capabilities for its customers to use more creative technology throughout its marketing, content, commerce and other operations. Accenture serves clients in more than 120 countries in industries such as banking, energy, automotive and industrial.
“Clearhead and Accenture Interactive share the belief that continuous experimentation is key to providing the best digital customer experiences and digital products,” Wishnow said. “We’re excited about how Accenture Interactive works with clients, using agile tools in a collaborative environment to give them the ability to become more user-focused and nimble.”
