It’s a scoop, but will anyone care by fall? On Monday, Yahoo Finance posted what it claims are exclusive photos of Fitbit’s upcoming smart watch and a pair of Bluetooth headphones.
The watch, which is similar in design to the company’s Blaze, was previously reported about a few weeks ago by Yahoo Finance as being delayed as the company tried to make the design waterproof and to incorporate GPS in order to better compete with the Apple Watch.
Yahoo reports that it could cost about $300 and about $150 separately for the wireless headphones. And before you get too excited, you should know that according to the story, even Fitbit employees are said to be less than thrilled with the design and that the team behind the watch has had trouble on the software side as well.
There’s not a lot of other details about the watch, but it’s likely to include hardware from Austin supplier Silicon Labs, one of Fitbit’s major partners.
