The Associated Press reports that Google and Facebook are apologizing for the roles they played in helping to spread bogus news reports following the deadly shooting Sunday night in Las Vegas. Among other erroneous information, the sites misidentified the shooter.
Look out, LinkedIn
Austin-based Bumble has unveiled Bumble Bizz, an offering that’s similar in many ways to professional networking site LinkedIn. Bizz, however, has a decidedly female focus, the American-Statesman’s Lilly Rockwell notes. Bizz is free and available to anyone who has the Bumble app.
New video games
The Statesman’s Omar Gallaga is out with his weekly roundup of newly released video games. Biggies on the list this week include “Forza Motorsport 7” and “Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga + Bowser’s Minions.”
