E-commerce software firm Big Commerce promoted Alexandra Shapiro to new chief marketing officer. Shapiro was previously the company’s senior vice president of marketing. Before joining BigCommerce, Shapiro was the senior director of merchant marketing and partner development at PayPal.
Online shipping company uShip hired software veteran Mike Williams as its chief executive officer. Williams was previously general manager of corporate real estate services with Accruent
Austin lawn care startup LawnStarter hired Zak Cocos as its vice president of growth. He was previously the senior director of growth marketing at Indeed.
Artificial intelligence startup SparkCognition named David Asher as its executive vice president of strategy. Prior to joining SparkCognition, Asher was managing partner at Vital Financial, where he advised hedge funds.
Business software maker Planview has hired Brian Prokaski as its executive vice president of commercial sales. Prokaski was most recently the chief revenue officer at Snaptrends.
After selling itself last year to two investment firms, SolarWinds has seen a shakeup of some members of its management team. The IT management software company announced three hires this month.
Darren Beck is the company’s chief marketing officer. Beck was previously the chief marketing officer for Guaranteed Rate.
- SolarWinds hired Chris Benwell as senior vice president of North American sales. He previously held a similar job at Pearson.
- And David Cronk was hired as senior vice president of international sales. He also worked for Pearson as the senior vice president of North American and channel sales.
