Walmart gets pushy about vendors using Amazon’s cloud
Walmart, which has been making lots of improvements to its web retail business since it bought Jet.com, is now apparently playing hardball with vendors by pressuring them to stop using Amazon Web services or lose Walmart’s business, according to a Wall Street Journal story. An Amazon spokesperson used the word “Bully” in reference to Walmart’s actions, so it’s likely the things are about to get even uglier between the retail giants.
Pandora’s founder said to be exiting
Tim Westergren, the CEO and founder of Pandora, is said to be stepping down from the company as soon as a new CEO is found. Westergren started the company 17 years ago, but has only been in the CEO role for about a year. The company recently had a large investment from SiriusXM.
SpaceX lands two rockets
In some good news over the weekend, SpaceX landed the second of two Falcon 9 rockets in 48 hours, completing its 13th landing overall. You can catch some video footage of Sunday’s landing below:
