Zero-day exploit sends Apple scrambling
Citizen Lab and Lookout Security uncovered a major malware attack that is apparently being sold to governments to spy on people via their iPhones. It was apparently being used against human rights activist Ahmed Mansoor. Apple quickly released a patch to address the security hole.
Recode explains why the popular chat app WhatsApp, which was acquired in 2014 by Facebook, has changed its tune about collecting user data and using it for advertising.
Many miles on a short charge
At a Paris auto show, Volkswagen has unveiled an all-electric car that gets 300 miles on a 15-minute charge, TechCrunch reports. It's set for a late 2018 or early 2019 release.
