Michelle Obama just can’t get enough of Austin.
The former first lady is coming back to our city in October for a tech conference hosted by social media software company Spredfast. The company posted the news to its Twitter account on Tuesday morning.
Called “Smart Social Summit,” it takes place Oct. 16-18 at the W Hotel in downtown Austin. The Obama announcement said she would be participating in a “moderated conversation” at the event.
This is Obama’s second time speaking in Austin. She previously came to South by Southwest Interactive in 2016 to promote her Let Girls Learn project, the same year that her husband, former President Barack Obama, also spoke at the conference.
Austin-based Spredfast sells software that companies and brands use to manage and analyze their social media content and build social media campaigns across multiple sites including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram and Tumblr.
