New video games out this week:
“Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series.” The popular Marvel franchise heads down the dialogue-tree/episodic path of other Telltale game series such as “The Walking Dead” and “Batman” with a new adventure that features characters from the movies, but some nice surprises in its voice acting such as Nolan North and “Friday Night Lights” star Scott Porter. The first of five episodes, “Tangled Up in Blue” debuts this week. Rated T for Teen. $5 per episode, $25 for full season for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Windows PC, iOS and Android.
"Rick and Morty: Virtual Rick-Ality." This collaboration between Adult Swim and Austin's Owlchemy Labs is a VR-only game based on the popular series. Expect belches, surprising physics and all manner of mischief. Available Thursday. Not Rated. $30 for HTC Vive and Oculus Rift on PC.
“Full Throttle Remastered.” As with the lovingly crafted “Grim Fandango Remastered” from two years ago, this re-release of a classic LucasArts-era adventure game about a biker gang will allow players to switch between an HD-era version of the game and the original and will feature remastered music and polished-up 3-D graphics. Rated T for Teen. $15 for PS4, PlayStation Vita and PC.
