Google Fiber is coming to even more Austin neighborhoods.
The high-speed Internet and cable TV provider said Tuesday it has opened signups in a number of South Austin neighborhoods, including areas along Brodie Lane, Manchaca Road and Interstate 35 south of Slaughter Lane.
Signups made before Oct. 31 will qualify for expedited installation, the company said.
Google already offers its Fiber services in a number of other areas south of Lady Bird Lake. It hasn’t crossed into North Austin yet, although construction of its network continues.
Google Fiber features 1-gigabit internet service as well as more than 200 channels of cable TV with a DVR feature for recording shows.
