Former first lady Michelle Obama will be in Austin today to speak at a social media conference hosted by Spredfast.
Called “Smart Social Summit,” the three-day event runs through tomorrow at the W Hotel in downtown Austin.
Obama is scheduled to speak at 12:35 p.m. in what organizers describe as a moderated conversation.
This is Obama’s second time in Austin. She previously came to South by Southwest Interactive in 2016 to promote her Let Girls Learn project, the same year that her husband, former President Barack Obama, also spoke at the conference.
Austin-based Spredfast sells software that companies and brands use to manage and analyze their social media content and build social media campaigns across multiple sites including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram and Tumblr.
Michelle Obama’s talk is closed to the media, but the company said it would release with information about what she discussed.
