Austin startup SmartHome Hero has raised a round of seed funding from Digitech, a newly formed venture capital firm.

Financial terms of the investment were not disclosed.

Founded in 2014, SmartHome Hero is developing a service that provides energy estimates for homes and lets homeowners manage warranty management and repair. It also acts as an advertising platform for builders, smart home products and manufacturers.

SmartHome Hero said it plans to launch its service at the Builders Digital Experience Summit in Austin next month.

Digitech, which has offices in Austin and Houston, said SmartHome Hero is the first investment from its new fund. The venture firm, founded in 2015, targets early-stage technology companies in information technology, healthcare IT, cyber security, big data and mobile.
